Humbled when my friend shared this picture during his recent Hawaii vacation. Watching the palm trees, the sand and ocean, reading the poem Memories of wind, was wonderful self-care. The poem occupies page 101 in the book. A few of the lines go thus: The wind chimes speaking, The same words of the mighty wind.
Before the Eclipse 4/8/2024 You rise like always over the hill, Dispensing energy and light. My heart every morning, you fill. Your love, kindness and your might. In a few hours the moon will block Your light shining on others, me. You are unchanging, steady as rock. As thousands gather, the eclipse to see.
The swaying of your leaves, Were like my thoughts and mind. In the wind and cool breeze, Ego filled, yearning to be kind. The healing white storks visit every day, Gazing at the space and me. The leaves no more, the sky now gray. Whiteness, stillness, to feel, see.
