Before the Eclipse
You rise like always over the hill,
Dispensing energy and light.
My heart every morning, you fill.
Your love, kindness and your might.
In a few hours the moon will block
Your light shining on others, me.
You are unchanging, steady as rock.
As thousands gather, the eclipse to see.
